Lab Preparation related documents

The ICT lab for the CLIx rollout follows the client-server architecture, so the client machines access the resources from the server machine via a local area network setup (LAN).

Pre-lab readiness work:-

Pre server installation check:-

1. Please make sure you have a server id of the school in which platform installation needs to be done.

2. You must have the login credentials of teachers and students.

Post lab readiness work:

Test module-

1. Open the clixserver platform.

2. Login with the credentials.

3. Go to Explore >>

    English Beginner  >>

        Unit 1 >>

            Lessons >>

                Lesson 1 >>

                    Story Time:

Please check if the video is working with sound or not.

Note : One 8GB server machine can work for 10 to 14 stand-alone computers. We generally use two server machines for TPD training. In the case of N-Computing please make sure that all nodes in the Ncomputing, log in with unique ID e.g. student-one, student-two, etc when starting the N-Computing setup.

First Day of implementation

This was to be copy pasted from the Rollout manual and tweaked, Garima.

Training feedback tool

Just as the taste of the pudding is in the eating, the effectiveness of training lies in the value the teachers perceived of it. There are two stages to training effectiveness short term and long term. While the goals of teaching-learning processes are always long-term in nature, the short-term perception does indicate the effectiveness of long-term adoption of learning. It is with this intent that the feedback tool was formulated to be administered at the end of the face-to-face workshop.

The feedback tools need formatting. It can be found here.

Training observation tool

Good training is one which enables the facilitators to reflect on what went well and what can be improved upon. It is for this reason that an observation tool is mandatory. While freewrites are to be encouraged, it is essential that there be a routine, systematic capture of all that occurred in the workshop at the level of preparation, process fidelity, facilitation effectiveness, and participant engagement. The Observer checklist developed by the team emerged from this need to document the face-to-face workshop and reflect on the insights gained thereby.

The tool will need formatting. It can be found here.
