Add “host” entry in Windows-7 (client machine)

Firstly login with “Administrator” account into the windows client machine and do the following steps:

 

1. Go to windows the main menu, and click on “​ Computer​ ”

 

2. Folder explorer will open, click on “​ Local Disk (C:)​ ” and go up to the path “​ Local Disk (C:)\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\​ ”.

 

3. Right-click on “host​ ” file to edit it and add the host entry

 

4. Select ​ the notepad program to edit the host file.

 

5. Add the host entry as “​ server_ip   clixserver​ ” in the host file and ​ save it​ and then ​ close the file.

 

After saving and closing the “host” file, you should be able to access the “​https://clixserver​” website from the browser.
